The Seven Virtues Scale (Short Version)

The Seven Virtues Scale (Short Version) is a condensed self-report assessment developed to measure seven classical and theological virtues: Faith, Hope, Love, Justice, Courage, Temperance, and Wisdom. It was created by Erickson et al. (2025) at the Department of Clinical Psychology, Seattle Pacific University as part of The Sacred Seven research initiative, which seeks to integrate theological virtue ethics with empirical psychological measurement.

This short version provides a reliable yet efficient tool for assessing character formation and moral development within both secular and faith-based contexts.
