The Seven Virtues Scale: Hope Subscale

The Seven Virtues Scale (Hope Subscale) is a psychological and theological assessment designed to measure the virtue of hope—defined as steadfast confidence in the goodness of the future and trust in divine or transcendent purpose. It is part of The Sacred Seven project developed by Erickson et al. (2025) at the Department of Clinical Psychology, Seattle Pacific University, which seeks to empirically study both cardinal and theological virtues through validated measurement tools.
