The Seven Virtues Scale: Temperance Subscale

The Seven Virtues Scale (Temperance Subscale) is a self-assessment tool developed to measure the cardinal virtue of temperance—defined as self-control, moderation, and disciplined balance in thought and behavior. It is part of The Sacred Seven research initiative led by Erickson et al. (2025) at the Department of Clinical Psychology, Seattle Pacific University, which aims to operationalize and empirically assess both cardinal and theological virtues within psychology.
